Who we are

Incorporated in 2002, GLICO General operates in the non-Life sector of the Insurance industry. It is one of the six (6) subsidiaries of GLICO Group Limited and amongst the top five (5) insurance companies in Ghana.

The company is located in the GLICO House off the Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Accra and operates to provide measured and highly responsive non-Life insurance solutions to all consumers across the social strata. We are committed to delivering our promise on time and in full, prioritizing prompt Claims payment in particular. We do this through the deployment of state-of-the-art software, tailored systems & processes, and highly skilled staff, whom we continually train to further upskill. GLICO General has about one hundred & twenty-seven (127) employees across its offices dotted around the country

A good corporate citizen passionately committed to “Doing Well by Doing Good”, GLICO General conscientiously discharges its statutory and civic duties. The company is alive to its social responsibility and supports the Health, Education, Socio-Economic, and Sports sectors among other areas of the economy. 

We are governed by a four-member Board of Directors who ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The Board is chaired by Dr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei, the Founder and Executive Chairman of GLICO Group Limited.

At GLICO, our Corporate Social Responsibility for the GROUP and constituent subsidiaries is carried out by the Group Corporate Affairs & Marketing Department (GCA&MD).

Our social responsiveness is geared mainly towards Sports, Education, Health, Social Welfare and Community Development and Protection
